Jason Hughes and Siwan Morris lead the cast of Violence And Son, Gary Owen’s intimate new play about what parents pass on and trying to do the right thing at the Royal Court.

Liam is 17-years-old, loves Dr Who and has lost his mum. He has had to move from London to Wales, to the valleys, to the middle of nowhere, to live with a dad he doesn’t know. Whose nickname isn’t Violence for nothing.

Best known for his TV hits This Life and Midsomer Murders, London stage regular Hughes returns to the Royal Court following credits in A Real Class Affair and Phaedra’s Love to play Liam’s father Rick.

Returning to the Sloane Square venue following Gas Station Angel, Morris is arguably best known for her screen credits, which include appearances in Doctor Who, Skins and Wolfblood.

Directed by Hamish Pirie, Violence And Son is suitable for ages 14 and older.
