Following the Rhinegold, the ENO continues Wagner’s Ring Cycle with the first part proper of the saga.

Plunged into a thunderous storm at the outset, the world of Wagner’s second Ring opera is one of tumult, conflict and desperation. As the focus shifts from gods to mortals, we discover Wotan’s plan for ending Alberich’s curse on the ring. The Valkyrie features some of the Ring’s best known music – including the soaring ‘The Ride of the Valkyries’.
