Imported bride Simmy was supposed to bring good fortune to her in-laws, but following the wedding, her new husband disappears, and Simmy is locked in the house, keeping the diabetic granddad away from the Jalelbis.

All is unwell until the other son, Harry, returns home for the summer. Though they have trouble communicating, a friendship begins to grow between Simmy and Harry that gets the community excited.

Rifco Arts returns to the Theatre Royal Stratford East following the success of The Deranged Marriage.

The production is performed primarily in English, and occasional Punjabi/Urdu has English surtitles.
