David Wood’s Olivier Award nominated adaptation of Judith Kerr’s popular picture book returns to the West End this summer.
Promising magic, sing-a-long songs and clumsy chaos, The Tiger Who Came To Tea tells the story of Sophie and her mother whose afternoon is interrupted by a knock at the door from a tea-guzzling tiger.
A perfect introduction to theatre for children aged three and older, the production returns to the West End for the first time since 2012.
Acclaimed children’s playwright Wood, who has become well known for his adaptations of children’s classics including Spot’s Birthday Party, Tom’s Midnight Garden and The Witches, won the award for Best Entertainment And Family at the 2013 Olivier Awards with MasterCard for his adaptation of war novel Goodnight Mister Tom.
