Fiona Shaw returns to the UK stage to appear in The Testament Of Mary, playing the mother of Jesus in the stage adaptation of a Booker Prize-shortlisted novel.
Shaw plays the Virgin Mary as a mother attempting to cope with the loss of her child in this production, adapted by the novel’s author, Colm Tóibín, which won acclaim from both critics and the public when it ran on Broadway.
The Barbican dates are the only UK performances of The Testament Of Mary.
