Following their sold out debut performance and a national tour, National Youth Dance Company returns with The Rashomon Effect / Vertical Road, a brand new double bill by Olivier Award winner Akram Khan.

Khan is one of the most celebrated and respected dance artists today. He won the Olivier Award for Best New Dance Production in 2012 for his one-man show Desh.

For this performance National Youth Dance Company performs a restaged excerpt from the Akram Khan Company’s 2010 work Vertical Road alongside the world premiere of The Rashomon Effect, which has been created by Khan and assistant choreographer Andrej Petrovic.

This unique pairing of Akram Khan with the raw talent of these young artists provides an insight into the promising future of dance in Britian.
