The creative team behind the Donmar Warehouse’s critically acclaimed production of Life Is A Dream presents Heinrich von Kleist’s poetic masterpiece The Prince Of Homburg, which is considered to be one of the most haunting and beautiful plays of the 19th century, exploring honour, courage, ambition and love.
Ian McDiarmid returns to the Donmar Warehouse to lead the cast of The Prince Of Homburg. The former Artistic Director of the Almeida theatre has previously appeared at the venue in Be Near Me, John Gabriel Borkman and Pirandello’s Henry IV. His most recent London stage appearance came in Six Characters In Search Of An Author, which played at the Gielgud theatre in 2008, while his screen roles include City Of Vice, Sleepy Hollow, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and the Star Wars series of films.
McDiarmid is joined in The Prince Of Homburg by Charlie Cox, whose theatre work includes Harold Pinter’s The Lover & The Collection.
