Jamie Lloyd directs Hayley Atwell in the first ever revival of Alexi Kaye Campbell’s landmark drama, marking the third production in the director’s star-studded Trafalgar Transformed season.

Spanning more than half a century, the drama focuses on the complex love triangle between Philip, Oliver and Sylvia, unfolding against a background of changing attitudes towards homosexuality. As past and present worlds grind together and melt apart, the future and its promise of sexual liberation remains ever elusive and societal repression gives way to self-deception.

Captain American star Atwell, who has previously worked with Lloyd on his production of Kaye Campbell’s The Faith Machine at the Royal Court, is joined in The Pride by a cast including Harry Hadden-Paton (The Changeling, Young Vic), Al Weaver (Inadmissible Evidence, Donmar Warehouse) and Mathew Horne (Charley’s Aunt, Menier Chocolate Factory).

Lloyd’s first production of The Pride premiered at the Royal Court’s Jerwood Theatre Upstairs in 2008, winning numerous awards including an Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in an Affiliate Theatre.

The Latest of Lloyd’s Trafalgar Transformed shows, The Pride follows critically acclaimed productions of Macbeth, led by a cast including James McAvoy, and The Hothouse, starring Simon Russell Beale and John Simm.

This show is suitable for ages 16 and older.
