BAFTA Award-winning and Olivier nominated actress Gina McKee reprises her critically acclaimed role in Florian Zeller’s The Mother at the Tricycle Theatre, espied through the eyes of an isolated mother longing for former happy days spent with her now-grown-up children.

Lost in nostalgic yearning, encounters are unnervingly distorted as the brooding thoughts of the depressed mother figure slowly encroach upon her recollections of her former life, her beloved family and the recent actions of her husband.

Following a sell-out run and West End transfer of Moliere Award-winning playwright Zoller’s The Father in 2015, this engrossing show gradually places new twists on formerly innocuous events to disorientating effect, blurring the line between reality and imagination.
