The Broken Space Season is a festival of dazzling new works by some of the brightest writers around, inspired by the fact that the Bush theatre currently has no lighting. Over the course of three weeks, different plays are performed on different days.
During the Broken Space Season, each evening is split into three sections:
19:30 – Falling Light: three short new monologues performed just as the daylight is fading, lit by the streetlights of Shepherd’s Bush Green through the uncovered windows of the theatre.
20:30 – St Petersburg: the only play performing throughout the Broken Space Season is this world premiere of a short piece by Irish playwright Declan Feenan, the first profession production of his work. St Petersburg stars Geoffrey Hutchings, Mairead McKinley, Bradley Ford and Zak Bann-Murray.
21:30 – What The Dark Feels Like: six ghostly new plays from some of the most exciting new voices in theatre today, performed in near or total darkness.

Bartlett’s previous plays include My Child and Contractions for the Royal Court theatre.

BUFONIDAE by Bryony Lavery
Directed by Nathan Curry
Lavery’s previous work includes the award-winning play Frozen (National Theatre).

Directed by Hamish Pirie
Schiffer’s previous work includes 50 Ways To Leave Your Lover for the Bush theatre. He is currently writing an episode for the BBC Three's Spooks: Code 9.

Neil LaBute is an award-winning American playwright, director and filmmaker. His previous work includes In The Company Of Men, The Shape Of Things and Fat Pig, which is currently playing at the Comedy theatre.
