Spring Storm is a gripping early play by Tennessee Williams, which received its European premiere in this production.

Heavenly has almost everything a young woman could desire, but when she is forced to decide between respectable suitor Arthur and handsome, wild lover Dick, her actions cause a chain of consequences that tear their lives apart.

Spring Storm is a transfer from the Royal & Derngate Northampton, where it was previously seen in October 2009 as part of the Young America Season.

Laurie Sansom, Artistic Director of the Royal & Derngate, directs Spring Storm. His previous credits include Follies, Twelfth Night, Frankenstein, The Prime Of Miss Jean Brodie and The Wizard Of Oz.

Spring Storm transfers to the National Theatre alongside Beyond The Horizon, which was also part of the Young America Season.
