Lindsay Posner directs Hollywood star Lindsay Lohan’s theatrical debut in David Mamet’s acclaimed satire Speed-The-Plow.

When a hugely bankable star agrees to appear in a sure-fire commercial hit, film producers Bobby Gould and Charlie Fox are convinced this is the break of a lifetime. That is until Karen, a temporary secretary, derails the dream.

When she persuades Bobby to dump the blockbuster in favour of a story which can only be described as box-office poison, Charlie is forced to resort to desperate measures…

David Mamet is one of the most respected playwrights of his generation and his many other writing credits include American Buffalo, Glengarry Glen Ross and Oleanna.

Posner returns to the playwright’s work following high-profile productions of Romance, Oleanna, Sexual Perversity In Chicago, A Life In The Theatre and American Buffalo. His other many credits include recent West End productions of The Winslow Boy, Uncle Vanya and Abigail’s Party.

American actor Lohan makes her stage debut following performances in films including The Parent Trap, Freaky Friday, Mean Girls, Bobby, Prairie Home Companion and Georgia Rule.

She is joined by The West Wing star Richard Schiff, who last appeared on the London stage in the Menier Chocolate Factory’s Smash!, and stage regular Nigel Lindsay.
