Songs From A Hotel Bedroom is an intriguing new music theatre work which tells of a love affair between a cabaret singer and a writer. The story unfolds through the bittersweet love songs of Kurt Weill’s American repertory with choreography that captures the sensuality, mystique and mischief of the tango.
It is 1949 and in the stylish and sophisticated atmosphere of post-war New York, Angelique is in a hotel room reflecting upon her brief but passionate affair with songwriter Dan. Reliving the memories of their liaison, she looks back at how her life has changed through the highs and lows.
