An intimate, multi-sensory and immersive theatrical experience inviting an audience of twenty five to don forensic suits and explore the world of Reykjavik, in search of a half-forgotten love affair.
Created collaboratively with an award-winning team of directors, including Lucinka Eisler (Inspector Sands) and Carolina Valdes (Theatre O) alongside neuroscientist Hugo Spiers, Shams take audiences on a guided journey through the realms of recollection. Part travelogue, part forensic reconstruction, Reykjavík is an exploration through a city of extremes, asking how far can we trust our own memory?
Reykjavik was nominated for a Total Theatre Award for Innovation at the 2010 Edinburgh Fringe.
