Felicity Kendal leads the cast of Relatively Speaking, Alan Ayckbourn’s 1965 comedy, which returns to the West End for the first time since the acclaimed 1967 production.

Directed by Lindsay Posner, Relatively Speaking tells the story of young loves Greg and Ginny, whose relationship is moving extremely quickly. Having only known each other a month, Greg decides to ask for Ginny’s hand in marriage, but when he turns up at the supposed address of her parents, he meets Philip and Shelia enjoying a peaceful afternoon in the garden. The only thing is… they’re not Ginny’s parents.

Star of The Good Life, Kendal is joined in the production by Jonathan Coy, who was last seen on stage alongside David Tennant and Catherine Tate in Much Ado About Nothing, former EastEnder and star of Absent Friends and Pygmalion Kara Tointon, and Max Bennett, who has recently appeared in the Royal Court’s productions of Posh and In Basildon.

Award-winning director Posner’s theatre credits include West End productions Noises Off and Abigail’s Party while Olivier Award-winning designer Peter McKintosh has worked on productions including current West End long-runner The 39 Steps, and Hello Dolly! and Crazy For You at the Regent’s Park Open Air theatre.
