The Ragged Child is a musical play set in London 1849, and tells the tale of young Joe Cooper and his little sister Annie. This moving story follows their struggle for survival, and of Lord Shaftesbury and his determined efforts to improve the lot of London‘s poor.
Witty, sad but above all musically dramatic and exciting, The Ragged Child is a show for the whole family.
It originally premiered in 1986 and played at Glyndebourne, Edinburgh International Festival and in New York.
