Three one-act ballets from Kenneth MacMillan, Christopher Wheeldon and new Canadian talent Matjash Mrozewski.
Wheeldon’s Polyphonia won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Dance Production in 2003. In it, a series of dance vignettes changes mood with Ligeti’s piano music.
Matjash Mrozewski is a young Canadian choreographer whose new work will receive a world premiere as part of this triple bill.
Kenneth MacMillan’s Requiem is performed to the choral work of Fauré and is dedicated to the memory of John Cranko.
