Perchance To Dream is a classic musical romance whose original 1945 run in the West End played for 1,022 performances. It spans the Regency, Victorian and post-war eras and features some of Novello’s most ravishing songs from Love Is My Reason to We’ll Gather Lilacs.

The story opens in 1818 as Sir Graham Rodney – the impoversihed, womnising owner of Huntersmoon – is seeking relief from his life of leisure by masquerading as feared highwayman ‘Frenchy’. But just as the lothario falls in love, the law catchs up with him. A generation later tragedy strikes as Huntersmoon falls into the wrong hands. More than a century must go by before the ghosts of Huntersmoon can finally be laid to rest.

The production is the first in more than 25 years and marks the 60th anniversary of Ivor Novello’s death.
