Ours Was The Fen Country is an ethereal piece of dance theatre fusing movement and sound with the words and memories of people from the Fens.

Created by Dan Canham, the production is based on conversations with individuals from the region in East Anglia, including eel catchers, horse breeders and young farmers, who have been interviewed for the purpose of the piece.

Set on the bleak and mysterious expanse of flat land, Ours Was The Fen Country takes a poetic look at a disappearing community and the inevitability of change.

The production plays as part of The Shed’s Limited Editions season.
