Lia Williams stars as Klytemnestra in Robert Icke’s modern reimagining of Oresteia at the Almeida Theatre.

Spanning multiple decades, Aeschylus’ greatest and final play brings a family drama about sparring parents to the Islington venue’s stage, asking whether justice can ever be done.

Williams, who was last seen on the London stage in Old Times alongside Kristin Scott Thomas, is joined by a cast including Downton Abbey’s Jessica Brown Findlay, former 1984 cast member Hara Yannas, Angus Wright (The Cherry Orchard, Young Vic) and Shakespeare In Love’s Joshua Higgott.
