Oh! What A Lovely War was created in 1963 by Joan Littlewood and her Theatre Workshop. A tragi-comic take on WW1, it changed the way we think about war forever. Now, with Iraq and Afghanistan in view, this new production introduces this landmark work to a new generation.
Combining emotion, satire and squaddies’ humour, Oh! What A Lovely War sees a collection of musicians, dancers, singers and clowns present sketches, songs and stories, including wartime classics such as Keep The Home Fires Burning.
