Tensions between masters and servants come to the fore as Count Almaviva tries to have his way with the wife of his manservant Figaro, but is thwarted at every turn. In such enlightened times if the Count wishes to dance, then Figaro will make sure it is to his tune and not the other way round.
This is a revival of David McVicar's 2006 staging which was presented to mark the 250th anniversary of the birth of Mozart.
