Arthur Miller’s debut play No Villain receives a West End premiere at Trafalgar Studios 2 from June after a critically lauded London run in 2015.

Written over six days in 1936 by the iconic Death Of A Salesman playwright Miller with the goal of winning an award and subsequently funding his college tuition, the play was recovered and first introduced to London theatregoers last year in a sell-out world premiere at The Old Red Lion.

Centring on the conflict that arises when industrial strike action pits a factory proprietor father against his son, Miller’s early life and political values act as an undercurrent to events. Exploring Marxist theories which would later hold great ramifications for Miller, it is a tantalising hint at a literary talent in its early stages of flourishing.
