More Light delves beyond the British Museums’s popular exhibition, past the Terracotta Army and into the inner tomb of China’s “First Emperor”.
When the First Emperor of China died he was buried in the most magnificent tomb the world has ever seen. The inner chamber, which has yet to be excavated, is said to conceal the skeletons of hundreds of men and women who were shut in to die to serve their master in the after-life. On a lantern-lit stage, this physically and atmospheric production evokes the depths of that claustrophobic tomb.
