Starring Jon Culshaw and Marcus Brigstocke, this new production of Monty Python’s Spamalot arrives in the West End for a summer of shameless silliness.
Created by original Python member Eric Idle and John Du Prez, Spamalot tells the legendary story of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table as they journey through England in search of the holy grail.
Based on the classic film Monty Python And The Holy Grail, the comedy musical features the songs He Is Not Dead Yet, Knights Of The Round Table, Find Your Grail and the well known Python favourite Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life.
Brigstocke and Culshaw, who alternate in the role of King Arthur, star alongside theatre and TV legend Bonnie Langford as the Lady of the Lake and former EastEnder Todd Carty as Patsy.
Directed by Christopher Luscombe, the production also stars Robin Armstrong as Sir Bedevere, Rob Delaney as Sir Robin, Adam Ellis as Prince Herbert, Kit Orton as Sir Lancelot, Jon Robyns as Sir Galahad and the voice of Idle himself as God.
Comedian and impressionist Culshaw is best known as the star of the TV series Dead Ringers but his other television credits include Alter Ego, 2DTV, The Impressionable Jon Culshaw, Jon Culshaw’s Commercial Breakdown and, most recently, The Impression Show.
Brigstocke is well known for his stand-up comedy routines but is often seen on comedy quiz shows such as Have I Got News For You and QI.
