Christopher Haydon directs the UK premiere of this work by one of Sweden’s most prolific writers Niklas Radstrom, based on the killing of toddler James Bulger in February 1993.
In a forest of monitors, speakers and microphones, this stark, poetic play will not only explore the immediate events surrounding James’ killing but also interrogate how and why we tell stories and why you have come to watch and listen. Four actors will reconstruct what happened that February in a poignant theatrical experience, swapping and sharing roles to create a different performance every night.
