Polly Teale’s new play Mine centres on a wealthy, glamorous couple who have everything they ever wanted – except a baby. When they finally decide to adopt, they know only how much they long for a child. But the baby’s troubled mother comes to haunt them, and their lives become entangled in a way no-one could have imagined.
Mine’s writer and director Teale is co-Artistic Director of Shared Experience theatre company, whose recent productions include War And Peace and Kindertransport, both of which were staged at the Hampstead, plus Jane Eyre, Gone To Earth and Teale’s play After Mrs Rochester.
