The first production in the Sadler’s Sampled season, Made At Sadler’s Wells features some of Sadler’s Wells’ most highly acclaimed works from three of the venue’s Associate Artists.
The first is Russell Maliphant’s AfterLight (Part One), a masterpiece of modern dance inspired by Vaslav Nijinsky’s drawings, which premiered at Sadler’s Wells in 2009 before going on to receive two National Dance Awards and an Olivier Award nomination.
The second is a duet by celebrated contemporary choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. A reinvention of Nijinsky’s famous ballet, L’Après-Midi D’Un Faune, Faun returns to Sadler’s Wells after stunning critics and audiences in 2009’s In The Spirit Of Diaghilev.
UNDANCE completes the production. A unique collaboration between acclaimed composer Mark- Anthony Turnage, choreographer Wayne McGregor and visual artist Mark Wallinger, UNDANCE features 10 incredible performers from Wayne McGregor | Random Dance.
