Anthony Minghella (The English Patient, The Talented Mr Ripley) makes his opera directorial debut with this new production of Puccini’s classic tragedy.

The love story of a Japanese orphan, Butterfly, who marries a care free American, is performed against a set designed by Michael Levine. This production was first seen in autumn 2005, but returns with a revamped cast for eight performances.
