Images of Dance‘s talented student dancers, directed by former Royal Ballet principal Margaret Barbieri, serve up three sparkling new ballets, ranging from the elegant classicism of Renato Paroni’s Dvorak’s Serenade to the lush splendour of Tchaikovsky in American choreographer Dominic Walsh’s first English commission Subluminous. Christopher Marney (Ballet Boyz, New Adventures) closes the evening with his glamorously-costumed comedy of manners.
This performance also includes a special tribute to former Royal Ballet dancer David Ashmole, A Deux Mains, choreographed by Jamie Carter and danced by three guest artists from the Sarasota Ballet (USA).
