Ecuador’s leading theatre company presents a tale of prisoners finding solace and escape in re-telling a well loved story.
During the Argentinean dictatorship of the 1970s, two prisoners are kept in solitary confinement, only allowed to meet each other for one hour each week. During those 60 minutes they flee from reality, recounting the story of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza for each other.
Using props and swift dialogue, Ecuador’s Teatro Malayerba take audiences on a trip of the imagination.
La Razón Blindada (The Bulletproof Reason) is suitable for theatregoers aged 14 and older, and is performed in Spanish with English surtitles. It plays as part of CASA Latin American Theatre Festival 2013.
