Australian director Benedict Andrews brings a new interpretation of La Bohème, one of opera’s most popular and unforgettable stories, to the London Coliseum.
Mimì knocks on the door of her neighbour Rodolfo, sparking the start of a journey that takes the couple – and the audience – through the full range of human emotions. Puccini’s soaring vocal lines and beautiful orchestration are conducted by Italian repertoire specialist Xian Zhang. The cast includes soprano Corinne Winters and lyric tenor Zach Borichevsky as Mimì and Rodolfo.
Director Andrews’ recent work includes the Young Vic’s Olivier Award nominated production of A Streetcar Named Desire.
