Janeane Garofalo takes to the stage with one of America’s brightest newcomers, Al Madrigal, for a show of two halves.
Janeane Garofalo has been performing stand-up comedy since the 1980s and has worked on hit shows such as the Emmy award winning Ben Stiller Show, Saturday Night Live and The Larry Sanders Show, for which she was Emmy nominated for her character Paula. Her observational and self-deprecating comedy struck a cord with audiences and critics alike and she was named in the Top 100 Greatest Stand-ups of all time by the US TV channel Comedy Central’s poll.
Performing alongside Janeane Garofolo at this special one-off show is one of America’s fastest rising stars Al Madrigal. Described by the New York Times as a “dynamic” talent and named Best Stand Up Comedian at last years Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Madrigal’s comedy is spontaneous and unique. His fast-paced storytelling style has made him a regular on US television with numerous appearances on Comedy Central including his own half hour Comedy Central Presents… show as well as guest slots on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and Jimmy Kimmel Live.
