Torben Betts’ new play Invincible transfers to the St James Theatre following an acclaimed run at the Orange Tree Theatre.
Directed by Ellie Jones, Invincible tells the story of a couple who trade in their middle-class London lifestyle for a small town in northern England. Having moved to their new home, Emily and Oliver invite their neighbours over for an evening of olives, anchovies and cultural conversation, but classes soon begin to collide, leading to consequences that are both hilarious and tragic.
The play sees the original cast, which comprises Midsomer Murders’ Laura Howard, former Coronation Street actress Samantha Seager, Daniel Copeland and Darren Strange, reprise their roles in the production.
