Celebrate International Women’s Day with 3 artists from Ireland, England and Scotland: In the Round.
The three celebrated artists are Edwina Hayes, born in Dublin, whose beautifully written songs, charming stage presence and voice of an angel have won her a reputation as a true natural talent of gentle folk-americana, opening numerous shows for Jools Holland and Van Morrison.
Also appearing is Samantha Whates, a London based singer and songwriter. Despite living in the capital since her mid-teens, her heart, voice and songs retain a strong affinity with her Scottish roots, cultivating a sound that is thoroughly contemporary, rooted in tradition yet uniquely her own, playing across major London venues (Union Chapel, Vortex, Cecil Sharp House).
Finally, born and raised in Ireland, but now adopted by London, Joan is a singer who pulls no punches, but the redemptive quality of her songs means that you will always leave her gigs feeling that life is brilliant. The strength of her songwriting, combined with her powerful voice, has led to Joan recently being named London Time Out’s ‘Critic’s Choice’ for female folk singers.
This performance will be presented “In the Round”. All 3 performers will be onstage throughout the show.
