Michael Twaits makes his debut at Soho theatre with his caustic cabaret theatre show exploring the cult of celebrity. A metaphorical flick through the pages of Heat magazine fusing comedy, cabaret, multimedia and music.
After the success of Confessions Of A Dancewhore, Twaits has performed at some of London’s most prestigious venues: Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, National Film Theatre, Royal Vauxhall Tavern, Bistrotheque and the V&A.
With his latest show, character cabaret is redefined through a theatrical fusion exposing the darker side of celebrity. Flicking through the pages; Jade’s releasing books from beyond the grave, Jodie Marsh is keeping it real, Britney’s run away to the circus, Judy Garland gives a call to arms and Gary Glitter returns from Vietnam.
