Originally produced in Belfast and fresh from whipping up a storm at the Edinburgh Festival, this play charts the tumultuous life of Alex Higgins from the spectacular rise which saw him leaving school at 15, winning the all-Ireland snooker championship at the age of 17 before becoming the youngest-ever winner of the World Championship aged only 23. There plenty more ups in the decades the followed, but it is for the spectacular downs that Alex Higgins became notorious.
Richard Dormer, who wrote Hurricane, also takes on the challenging role of Alex Higgins.
