Moira Buffini’s critically acclaimed play transfers to the West End following a successful run at the Tricycle Theatre.
Featuring a cast including Marion Bailey and Stella Gonet, Handbagged tells the story of two of the most influential women of the 20th century, the Queen and Margaret Thatcher, and speculates on what happened when the powerful duo spoke behind closed doors.
Based on the critically acclaimed short play from 2010’s Women, Power & Politics, the comedy opened at the Tricycle Theatre in September 2013, where it proved popular with audiences and critics alike.
Directed by the Tricycle’s Artistic Director Indhu Rubasingham, the cast also includes Fenella Woolgar, Neet Mohan, Jeff Rawle and Lucy Robinson.
