Dating back to the days of apartheid in South Africa, when mine workers wore Wellingtons as foot protection, the Gumboot dance was originally a way of communicating without speech as they were forbidden to talk.
This production features 12 of South Africa’s finest performers in a high-energy mixture of song, dance and athleticism which embodies the rich harmonies and spirit of Africa.
