Love, betrayal, innocence and the supernatural all play their part in this much-loved Romantic ballet.

Village girl Giselle falls in love with a handsome stranger. When he is unveiled as the already married nobleman Albrecht, she dies of a broken heart and joins the ranks of the Wilis, ghostly women who trap men and force them to dance to their deaths. When Albrecht strays their way, rather than take revenge, Giselle tries to protect the man she loved.
