Three women with different pasts and different hopes for the future find friendship when they come together every Friday night to sing at the Star Club. Lois is a bit stuck up, Sadie is tough but has a soft centre, and Serena is just a bit nervous.

Follow the girls over the next ten years as their friendship is tested when they struggle with relationships, family tragedies and when one of them is pushed into the limelight and made a lead singer.
