Fitzrovia Radio Hour takes you back to the 1940s and the world of radio plays, with all their stiff upper lips and casual imperialism. Performed with cut-glass theatricality, blending homage and satire, Fitzrovia Radio Hour is a peak behind the scenes of such a radio play, where all the sound effects are created live on air. A Bakelite hairdryer becomes a heating torch, a desk fan is an aeroplane, and cabbages prove invaluable in staging a fight scene. It’s all ripping good fun!
Fitzrovia Radio Hour was a hit at the Edinburgh Fringe and enjoyed a stay at Trafalgar Studio 2 earlier this year.
