Celebrating its 25th anniversary, Canadian contemporary circus company Cirque Éloize opens the doors to its new show, Hotel, in the West End.

Based in an art deco grand hotel, whose origin spans the depths of time, Hotel is a spectacular showcase of Cirque Éloize’s unique style and flair.

The show follows tourists and travellers – both the famous and the infamous – who mingle in the 1920s, hang out in the 1970s, and arrive in 2040. You are invited to go behind closed doors to experience their intimate stories, channelled by the time-spinning groom and the artful maitre d’hotel.

Told through the exploits of 12 dazzling and spectacular acrobats and musicians, and powered by Éloi Painchaud’s original score, Cirque Éloize – Hotel is a prime example of the company’s trademark fusion of contemporary circus and drama in a place that never sleeps. The show is directed by Emmanuel Guillaume.

Cirque Éloize were founded on 1993, going on to specialise in crafting productions which bring the best of music, theatre and dance to the stage, with a daring approach to circus techniques. Travelling across the world and performing in over 550 cities, they last performed in London at The Peacock in October 2017 with their Wild West show Saloon.

Previous productions that have been seen at The Peacock include iD, which brought together the world of urban dance and circus arts, and Cirkopolis, the company’s tenth creation, which after a performance in New York in 2014 won the Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience. Hotel is Cirque Éloize’s 15th production.
