The British Youth Opera (BYO) celebrates its 20th anniversary season with performances of Don Giovanni and Eugene Onegin. The training ground for Britain’s young opera stars is ably supported by its orchestra Southbank Sinfonia.
Mozart’s Don Giovanni is a man caught between desire and destiny, holding everybody, including the audience, under his spell. Don Giovanni is performed on 8, 14 and 16 September.
Eugene Onegin is Tchaikovsky’s tale of passion, young love and a man who realises too late the error of his decision. Eugene Onegin is performed on 9, 13 and 15 September.
