Returning to London for the first time in 30 years, Boston Ballet presents two dynamic programmes reflecting a century of groundbreaking choreography. Programme 2 features three extraordinary and visionary works, Christopher Wheeldon’s physically complex Polyphonia where the dancers showcase their playful athleticism with stripped down ballet in its purest form, Jirí Kylián’s emotional and beautiful masterpiece Bella Figura. Finally, William Forsythe’s The Second Detail, set to a robust score by Thom Willems, a potent piece of kinetic energy that never fails to leave a lasting impression.
