The international award-winning play Blackbird, opens its first UK tour in Spring 2008.

15 years after having an affair Ray and Una meet again. Una has thought of nothing else since, and on finding a photo of him sets out to find Ray. Ray however has made a new life for himself, with a fresh identity and didn’t think he could ever be found. The reunion has shattering consequences.

Blackbird is an electrifying, dark, explosive new play that originally premiered at the Edinburgh International Festival in 2005 prior to seasons in both London‘s West End and Broadway. The drama will also premiere in Sydney this Christmas, directed by Cate Blanchett.

Winner of 2007 Laurence Oliver Award for Best New Play.
