Birmingham Royal Ballet’s Pomp And Circumstances is a programme comprising three very different ballets.
David Bintley’s ever-popular and much-loved Still Life At The Penguin Café, last seen in London in 2001, features a varied, amusing and touching array of creatures seeking shelter from the storm.
Pomp And Circumstances is completed with George Balanchine’s stunning abstract dance piece Serenade and Frederick Ashton’s Enigma Variations, which brings Edward Elgar and his friends to life in dance.
