Tansy Davies, Nick Drake and Deborah Warner combine for this highly anticipated new opera, Between Worlds, inspired by the events of 9/11.
Between Worlds is billed as a “sensitive, spiritual and uplifting” opera following an eclectic collection of individuals trapped high in one of the Twin Towers, caught between life and death, earth and heaven.
Composer Davies was nominated for a South Bank Sky Arts Award in 2011 for As With Voices And With Tears, her requiem for choir, strings and electronics.
Warner is a regular with both the Barbican and the English National Opera. Her work was last seen at the Barbican with The Testament Of Mary, while her ENO works include Death In Venice and Eugene Onegin.
