One of Harold Pinter’s greatest works sees a seven year affair played out in reverse, from its poignant end to its very first kiss.

The play received its world premiere at the National theatre in 1978, with a cast including Penelope Wilton, Michael Gambon and Daniel Massey directed by Sir Peter Hall. Nobel prize-winner Pinter’s other works include The Birthday Party, The Caretaker, The Homecoming and The Dumb Waiter.

Director Roger Michell previously directed Pinter’s Old Times at the Donmar in 2004. His other theatrical directing credits include Blue/Orange, The Homecoming, The Coup and Landscape With Weapon at the National Theatre, while his films include Notting Hill, Changing Lanes and recent Oscar nominee Venus.
