Babe is a confused piglet. Although he is pink and has a curly tail, he thinks he is a sheep-dog.
When he is won by Farmer Hogget at a village fair, his life is changed as his new ‘mother’ on Hogget’s farm is Fly, an old sheep-dog. So begins Babe’s adventure as he learns how to herd by being polite rather than scary.
Dick King-Smith’s novel The Sheep-Pig, on which the play is based, has been enormously popular and has previously been made into the hugely successful film, Babe. Top children’s playwright David Wood has adapted the book for stage.
Though children of all ages are welcome, Babe, The Sheep-Pig is most suitable for children over the age of six.
